Study in Ventspils: Mukhammadsolikh’s story on opening gates to a better future

Every year, there are new international students coming from different countries to study at Ventspils University College and Ventspils University College – International Office has been fortunate to have worked with great trainees that come from their midst. One of them is Majoros Mónika, a 1st year ”Languages and Intercultural Communication” student from Hungary and she together with two other full-time students studying in one of our international programs, decided to share their stories and experiences.

We have already shared Abdukodir’s and Monika’s stories, but our third story in the series “Study in Ventspils” is from Mukhammadsolikh, a 1st year “Business Administration” student from Uzbekistan:

“Ventspils University College (VUC) was recommended to me as a very good university with a high quality of education by my brother, who is also studying at VUC. I saw a very good opportunity for my future life. I understood what kind of privileges I would be able to have if I studied at VUC and how it could affect my future career, so I decided to submit my documents and pass the entrance test.

What I like about Ventspils the most is that it is a very peaceful and calm town. Despite the fact that the city is not very large, you can find all you want in this city. The air is very clean as Ventspils is mostly surrounded by forests and there are not many cars. This is also a plus since there is no heavy traffic. I really like the beach where you can go and enjoy a swing or just have a walk.

VUC is one of the best universities in Latvia. Teachers are well-educated and qualified specialists in their field of education. They are very kind and they will repeatedly answer your questions and explain if it is hard for you to understand something. Students are very friendly; they will extend a helping hand whenever you need it.

Studying abroad has changed my life, but in a good way, of course. It has changed my world outlook, and made me see the world in a broader view, and see the things that I couldn`t see before.  At the same time, I am continuously acquiring new knowledge, and learning to appreciate what I had and what I have, encouraging me to value it.

I would suggest anyone who is thinking about studying abroad not to think too long and just go, as this would be a huge step towards your prosperity. You will learn to appreciate and value things as I did. I advise everyone to come here, study at VUC and open the gates to a better future.
