Ventspils University College graduation ceremony already this Saturday

Saturday, June 17 at the theatre house “Jūras vārti” Ventspils University College graduation ceremony will be held where 157 graduates will be receiving their degrees – 122 of them a bachelor’s degree and 35 – master’s degree. This year’s graduation is speacial as there will also be first graduates receiving their degree in the double-degree master’s programme “International Business and Export Management”.

Graduation’s ceremony will be divided in two parts – where at 12:00 p.m. the degrees will be awarded to the students of the Faculty of Economics and Management (including Business Administration students) and the double degree master’s programme “International Business and Export Management”. The graduates of the double-degree programme will be greeted by rector of the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems Prof.(FH) Mag. Eva Werner, hon.prof.

At 3:00 p.m. the degrees will be awarded to the students of the Faculty of Translation Studies (including Languages and Intercultural Communication students) and the Faculty of Information technologies.

However at 4:30 p.m. there will be a ceremonious procession of the Graduates from the theater house “Jūras vārti” to the excursion boat “Hercogs Jēkabs” and a boat-ride.

Among the graduates of the bachelor programmes in the the Faculty of Economics and Management the highest grades – with distincition and excellent by the final examination commission were awared to Rihards Lankovskis, Otabek Murodov, Karīna Freipiča, Aivis Girgždis, Karīna Karpoviča, Krists Korotkijs, Simona Pērkone, and Jānis Uzaris.

But among the master’s students the highest grades with distincition and excellent were awared to Dagnis Iļjins, Arita Šreibere and Agnese Jēkabsone.

Among the graduates of the bachelor programmes in the the Faculty of Translation Studies the highest grades – with distincition and excellent by the final examination commission were awared to Amanda Gauše, Matīss Freimanis, Līga Ignate, Edvards Maļeckis, Gunita Benne, Elīna Bruža, Krišjānis Polāns, Baiba Posele, Krista Papēde, Dzintra Grīnberga, Agita Caune, Anastasija Vaska and Līga Zute.

Among the graduates of the bachelor programmes in the the Faculty of Information Technologies the highest grades – with distincition and excellent by the final examination commission were awared to three students Pēteris Bitāns, Klāvs Kalnejs, Arturs Anohins. But among the master’s students the highest grades with distincition and excellent were awared to Edgars Garšneks, Aleksandrs Kozlovs, Jekaterina Kuštana and Gints Dreifogels.
