On September 17, 2019, an informative seminar was held for staff of VUAS, during which participants were introduced to one of the partner higher education institutions in Poland by the member of Erasmus + department Przemyslaw Polok and lecturer Krzysztof Cieslikowski. It is known as the Katowice School of Economics. During the seminar, VUAS lecturer Vita Balama and coordinator of the study program “International Business and Export Management” Una Bitmane, shared their Erasmus + experience.
Vita Balama is one of the most active participants in the Erasmus + program and Una Bitmane took this opportunity for the first time this year. Vita Balama acknowledges that participating in Erasmus + staff mobility provides an opportunity to meet new people and get in touch for further cooperation. It has allowed her to develop herself and gain international experience, getting to know people with whom she has the opportunity to engage in various projects. Una Bitmane, for her part, admits that her training program in Austria was very intense and valuable, both to learn from the good work of her colleagues in Austria and to learn about their culture.
During the seminar, VUAS staff learned about the nuances to consider when applying for mobility and, hopefully, it encourages other colleagues to take this opportunity.
Remember that you can apply for student and staff mobility until September 28 by submitting application documents to room C211.
VUAS Erasmus + project for mobility of people between countries in the higher education sector is co-financed by the EU. More information on the Erasmus + programme can be found on the State Education Development Agency website www.viaa.gov.lv under Erasmus +.
