This Autumn semester Orientation days will take place from September 3 until September 6 where during a string of introductory events the new international students (both Erasmus+ exchange students and full-time degree seeking students) will have a chance to break the ice, meet and mingle with other students, gain substantial knowledge in an informative seminar, became closely acquainted with the university and find their way out the maze of university’s campus (a legend tells that there are still some wandering freshmen souls playing the orientation game).
On Tuesday, September 3 at 16:00 in D building Student lounge an informal meet and greet event will be held. During the meeting a tasty welcome will be served. Students will also have a chance to get to know VUAS campus and the surrounding area while documenting the experience. The most creative ones will be rewarded.
On Wednesday, September 4 at 16:00 in room A-306 VUAS International Office during the "Official Welcome" will try to quickly and painlessly get all the newcomers (international students) to use university e-mail and instruct them on other equally important essentials.
The final day will be Friday, September 6 when if the weather permits, VUAS International Office together with new international students will take a break from work and explore the city on bikes. The exact times will be decided during the "Official Welcome". This three day “trip” will be concluded by announcing and awarding the Orientation Game winners – most creative and confident new students of VUAS!
Latecomers ought not to fear – VUAS International Office is found in office C-211 every working day from 8:30 till 17:00 or reached via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
VUAS Erasmus+ programme is funded by the European Union. More information on the Erasmus+ programme is available on the website of the State Education Development Agency http://www.viaa.gov.lv
