International cooperation
Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, established in 1997, is a national higher education and science institution.

Ventspils University of Applied Sciences provides the international experience highly demanded in today’s labour market. Guest lecturers of different countries, like Austria, Germany, Poland, China, USA and Spain provide students with unique, interationally known and approved knowledge.

Students of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences can get to know both foreign lecturers and students from different countries and can travel abroad on experience exchanges or expand their horizons by participating in various projects.

International experience can be gained via the Erasmus+ programme. This programme provides students with the opportunity to study at a cooperating university in Erasmus+ programme countries. Erasmus+ offers the opportunity to gain international work experience through training abroad.

In addition to acquiring new academic knowledge, international studies are a great way to practice foreign languages, get acquainted with new cultures, make new friends, and establish contacts. For Erasmus+ students, it is an opportunity to test themselves in a new environment and to become more independent.

The following study programmes are offered on the international market: Management Studies, Computer Science, Translation Studies, and Languages and Intercultural Communication. Studies are available at bachelor’s and master’s level. Foreign students from countries including Spain, Germany, France, India, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan have chosen to spend an exchange semester at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences.

Ventspils University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences in Krems offers a master’s study programme in International Business and Export Management, and graduates of this programme receive a master’s degree from both Ventspils University of Applied Sciences and the University of Applied Sciences in Krems.
